To demonstrate reflux

 

 

Method

Patient Preparation

 

Nil specific – since patient has been prepared for the test already.

 

Equipment

 

Videofluoroscopy

 

Technique

 

Place the patient in the supine position in the right posterior oblique and asked to swallow plain water after ingested barium. Instruct the patient to strain

 

 

Results

 

This manouvre induces reflux.

No Complications
